Session Scope
Relational Data Analysis (RDA) comprises methods of data analysis, knowledge discovery, and data mining which make a substantial use of relations and relational calculus. The session focuses on foundations, algorithmic aspects, and applications of RDA, particularly on analysis of data which is uncertain, fuzzy, or imprecise. Topics include but are not limited to:
- foundations, mathematical structures in RDA (relational systems, closure structures, Galois connections, etc.),
- clusters and patterns in relational data (relational clustering, conceptual clustering, similarity measures),
- data dependencies (attribute implications, functional and other database dependencies, association rules and further approximate dependencies, etc.),
- formal concept analysis (concept lattices, scaling, algorithms),
- relational factor analysis (Boolean factor analysis, factor analysis of fuzzy relations),
- succinct representation of extracted knowledge (non-redundant bases, approximate reduction, summarization),
- learning in relational setting, inductive logic programming,
- visualization of relational data.
